I backtracked to the car park along Bridgewater Road (38°22′14.07″S, 141°24′18.32″E) (Goggle Maps), which is just up the hill from the town center. This car park is the trailhead to the Cape Bridgewater Seal Walk.
This picture was taken about halfway out. You can see the tallest cliff in coastal Victoria (130m/430ft) ahead. To attempt to give you the scale perspective, I'll point out the two itty-bitty cows grazing at the top of the cliff at the very right-hand edge of the picture.
The seal colony (can you say "shark"?) that lives at the bottom of these cliffs is said to be the largest in mainland Australia, numbering around 650, and up to 800. According to one Victorian tourist brochure, it comprises Australian Fur Seals and New Zealand Fur Seals.
