I just finished crossing the south end of Port Phillip Bay on the Sorrento-Queenscliff Ferry, boarding at Queenscliff, 38°15′56.18″S, 144°40′20.78″E (Google Maps), and disembarking at Sorrento, 38°20′10.03″S, 144°44′44.28″E (Google Maps).
For this picture I was standing on the land end of the pier (38°22′08.77″S, 144°49′20.46″E) (Google Maps) at Rye Bay Beach and looking eastward.
This area on the lower east side of Port Phillip Bay is known as the Mornington Peninsula, and is home to one of Victoria's great wine regions. Needless to say, I visited several cellar doors.
